3G mobile communications commercial networks in the global scope accelerates the pace of their construction constantly, the first generation of WCDMA base stations, are more and more unable to adapt to the needs of network construction and business deployment. Smaller size, lower power consumption, more outstanding performance, have become a typical feature of new generation of WCDMA base stations, the 3GPP standards for the key stage achievements and base station technology breakthroughs, will drive a new generation of WCDMA base stations to move rapidly to a commercial scale. The topics of this paper that are based on a new generation of WCDMA base stations - Distributed base stations, research and design the receiver system from their subsystem– radio remote unit. And this paper has main three tasks as below.1. Research and analysis the indicators of base station RF receiver system, including the reference sensitivity, intermodulation characteristics, adjacent channel selectivity, blocking characteristics, dynamic range and AGC systems.2. Indicators allocation of the base station receiver system.3. Circuit simulation, implementation, debugging and testing, additionally, cascade test of the base station receiver system. In this design, the author adopts the structure of bandpass sampling superheterodyne receiver architecture. This structure which does away with drawbacks of superheterodyne and bandpass sampling, and takes the respective advantages of combination, from the difficulty of implementation, electric performance, cost, power consumption, size and other aspects of the characteristics of considerations, is an excellent choice.
