Java Web technology and database connection pool technology can develop the Web system with a platform-independent and powerful performance. I found it important to apply Java and database connection pool technology and make an efficient and just exam as well as get the results of the exam quickly.This thesis studied the Java technology and database connection pool. And this thesis also studied the use of technology. In a school (or a training institution, or a sector), an information exam system often includes the information such as of staff, of students, examination papers bank management, test papers management, distribution of papers, attending an examination, monitoring the students during an exam, scores management, test papers analysis and other information . It will greatly increase the efficiency of the office and help us to make a correct and efficient human resource configuration if we use the online examination system to manage the information.The information exam system was developed by multi-tier architecture, and the Web system was built through the Struts framework. The system is the application of Java technology and database connection pool technology. In this system, all the database business operations are in the range of DAO classes. It makes the level of the system clearer to operate a database with specific business. In the system of multi-tier architecture, the representation layer used the JSP&servlet technology, the business logic tier used the JavaBean technology, and the database layer used database connection pool technology to connect the database. The functions of the system were realized in the business logic tier.This thesis described the development process of the information exam system that depended on Java and database connection pool technology. Firstly, this thesis introduced Java technology as well as the database connection pool technology. Then this thesis introduces MVC and the Struts framework. Later, this thesis described the specific modules development of the information exam system by focusing on the using of JSP&Servlet&JavaBean&Struts in the development, and using the database connection pool technology to enhance the connection efficiency. This thesis described the realization of the process from the presentation tier to the business logic tier and the database layer in the multi-tier architecture in details. The thesiss told us the development process from these aspects, such as the system requirements analysis, system design, database design, and design and implement all levels of multi-layer structure. The papers focused on design and implementation of several key parts of the system. These key parts include that examination papers management, employees management, test papers management, examination management , and the design of database connection pool. At last, the article discussed the problems of handling Chinese in the systems.The information exam system used Java technology, connection pool technology, and multi-tier architecture. The papers described design and implementation of the process of the system form system analysis to the specific functions design and the ideas and processes of the key parts of the system.
