The Study Of Earthquake Information Release System Based On Google Map Api And Implementation

China,which has many earthquakes,is one of the countries which suffering the most severe earthquake in the world.As the development of information technology,the technology of earthquake observation,forecasting and emergency begins to go forward to be digital and network-based.Particularly in the "Ninth Five-Year Plan" period,a series of major information technology projects,that are held by all level departments,have led the ability of China's earthquake preparedness and disaster reduction to a new high level.It has played an important role in the "5.12" earthquake in 2008.Based on the status of seismic information network,in order to achieve effective management of earthquake information,especially user-friendly quick inquiry,this paper discusses the method to establish information systems which based on the Google Maps API, Google Earth KML and database technology,and so on.We develop a application system which realize the application of seismic information resources in the GIS platform.This is great benefit for the relevant departments to retrieve information and for the public to get information related to the earthquake quickly and conveniently.It is one of the most important duties for the Seismological Bureau to provide quality seismic monitoring data and efficient services for the public.As the development of computer technology,network technology and database technology,the level of users' requirements of seismic data service is getting higher and higher.Now,the most common way to provide network services on the seismic data is GMT.But it is limited to provide real-time seismic data services.In recent years,GIS technology has got great development:from the stand-alone GIS to the server GIS,and then to the later WebGIS.It is a new attempt and trend to put the GIS technology into the management of seismic data and services.At present,the countries which use WebGIS technology in seismic data management have been more common European and American ones.China has just begun the application of this research work.With the WebGIS technology used in seismic data management and services,you can make ordinary browser provide GIS services.And this will bring about new changes in thses services.Based on the Google Maps resources,we develope a set of seismic information systems by API.By embedding the Google Earth KML,this system can realize the query according to the number, magnitude,timing and scope of latitude and longitude information,and the query results are expressed as the location of the earthquake point and the display of more detailed information on the map.The description of the earthquake information include word and map.Earthquake information system not only adds new content for Geo-Information Science Research on Earthquake Information,but also has played a good role in seismic data sharing and service.With the mature network technology,communication technology,and GIS(Geographic Information System) technology,Web Map Service provide a new method of map service.It will gradually been accepted as an assistant of high-tech industries.After Google introduced the Google Map online map service,Microsoft(MSN),Yahoo,Amazon and other companies have also launched similar services.This makes the study of the map search service increasingly hot.
