In the production of electronic products, we often need test or inspect the assembly to verify if they meet the process requirement. In this thesis we point at a seal pad which is mounted on the PCB. To design a efficient,stable test, we complete the below jobs on the base of the principles of the image feature:1) As test requirement, we select the test method of taking picture and analyzing the image. And we design the hardware of the test system.2) On the base of principle of digital image, with the programming tools, we take the below steps to design the test: i) Getting the position of the reference hole. ii) Calculating the center of reference hole. iii) Getting the points on the edge of the seal pad and fitting them to line. iv) Getting the points on the edge of the PCB copper line and fitting them to line. v) Calculating the distance and angle by reference of hole's center and copper line. And then make the test interface and take an experiment of test and record the data.3) Adjusting the test method, and taking an example to explain how to correct and improve the test method by recording data and analyzing the procedure.4) To analyze and verify the repeatability and reproducibility by the MSA conception and GaugeR&R tools.From the jobs of the thesis, it makes clear that we can make the compact efficient stable test system for the assembly of seal pad by the flexible using of digital image principles. Furthermore it is more convenient than the existing image vision develop system (NI Vision developer) in the selecting of test method, data and procedure analyzing.
