Shanghai Telecom Value-added Services Sms Middleware Design

With the rapid development of the wireless value-added business, SMS service has become one of the fastest growing areas in wireless value-added services. At present, there are many defects in the current SMS system, such as the operator's single support, lack of expansion capability for infomation resources and poor system maintainability. These problems hold back the development of the wireless value-added business. Therefore, it is important to construct a SMS platform with good extension and to integrate the content privoder's infomation system. It will meet the growing demand for value-added services.Firstly, it is analyzed the actuality and problems exist in Shanghai telecom's value-added services system. The SMS middleware's function position, core functions and system flow are also identified through the deep analysis of the value-added service development trend. Then the nonfunctional requirement and technology selection of SMS middleware are also discussed. Based on it, the discussion is focused on the design and implementation of the communication gateway, infomation gateway and external data interface. The telecom value-added SMS middleware brings a manageable and stable platform, which provides a highly efficient operation environment.
