Research, Grid-based Distance Learning Platform

The grid technology is used to realize the distribution of resources sharing,its purpose is to manage the grid resources,and to provide for us.Globus is an open system and open standard items for grid structure,Globus toolkit is an open source platform,It can build grid middleware services and programs provide.The distance eduction systems are all set up their distance learning platform,and through the internet teaching activities.Every distance learning platform accumulates massive education resources,but mostly of them are isolated,not realizing a sharing of resources.The paper aiming at these problems,using Globus toolkit technology platform, study radio and television university's distance learning platform as for research object, Put forward a Grid resources ORG(Open Resource Grid) theoretical framework,To study the key technologies of the grid resource management,information management and data management,and aim at realizing the radio and television university learning platform resources sharing.Firstly,the component(MDS) of Globus which is provided information service and discovery Service is showed in this paper and the registered,found and query of resources based on MDS is turned into reality.Then the component(GRAM) of Globus which is provid resource management is studied,realizing the education resource description base on WSDL and the job scheduling management base on ORG-GRAM_Condor.At last the component GridFTP of Globus is presented and a client based on COG Toolkit is designed to realize data of grid transmission.Finally,we summarized existing work and presented some advices for the future research.
