Taiwan's Political News Television Showed

As the most popular public medium in the comtemporany social circonstances, television must intimately interacts with all the conditions in time and space that it particularly exists. While in every aspects of the human world,political activities and political phenomenon qre important social activities.As for the common people forming the shape of "subjective reality", the "symbolic reality" conveyed by the medium of television is the most important informational medium. By analysing the presentation of television towards political news in Taiwan, this thesis has described the current situation of political news broadcasted in Taiwan, made a thorough inquiry about, as an important bond between the public and politics, how on earth the medium of television reflects the political activities and political phenomenon in Taiwanese sociaty.Next, the relation between politics and media are the relations that they two absolutely don't want to admit most but also the most obvious one. And the relations are just like a mass of tangles to be sheared constantly, however it gets more twisted. After the ban of parties and newspapers having been lifted in Taiwan, whether the news media which flaunt news freedom and political neutrality can really realize the media outlook established? Why do the public classify the media with blue or green related to political atmosphere if the news media in Taiwan don't really have any relations with politics? What kind of role do the political news reports on television play in the contemporary political life in Taiwan?This thesis strives to probe into all the questions above with mainly adopting the research method of quantatitive analysis, adding the depth interviews and content analysism, etc. Research shows that the television presentation on political news in Taiwan has many characteristics and mainly reflects on several aspects below: the amount of political news is relatively little; the medium after uses violent pictures when it reports; political news has intimate relations with political power, has mutual influence and intereste with political figures, etc. Finally, the writer has analysed the hidden reason caused by this current situation and provide a series of countermeasures as references.
