Intellectual property protection receives much concern both at home and abroad , Because the numeral work have easily saving process with the characteristics of easy transmission, it makes dissemination exchanges of knowledge more convenient and bring easy to some outlaw malice such as distort, attack, steal other people's work of convenient condition. Digital watermarking technology provides novel ways to solve these security problems for multimedia information. In this paper, we study the technologies and application of multimedia information security in the area of digital watermarking. The major work is as followed1. This paper first reviews a lot of papers about digital water-marking some fundamental theories of digital water-marking, then for digital image watermarking, systematically describes the basic framework and some important algorithm of digital watermarking.2. The characteristics of Human Vision System is studied.3. The Wavelet transformation and the application in water-marking is studied.(4) For the sake of easy for comparison, this design provides three kinds of watermark-embedding projects, project 1 embeds watermark in the detail subband, project 2 decompose in the first level detail subband and embed watermark in the second level detail subband. project 3 embeds watermark in the low-frequency subbands, In addition , aimed at each kind project , the design carry out watermark attack and watermark withdraw. The experimental results show that project1 and project 2 are invisible and robust against noise and commonly image processing. Project 2 is better than project1. So it has practical value.
