Mobile Multimedia Broadcasting Multiplexing Systems Design And Implementation

CMMB (China Mobile Multimedia Broadcasting) system provides an effective nationwide coverage of mobile multimedia broadcasting signals by adopting the method of 'space and ground united, satellites and terrestrial networks combined, standards unified and roaming nationwide' featured by the combination of satellite and terrestrial network.CMMB makes use of big-power S-waveband satellite to cover national 100% land, the S/U waveband supplementary transponder to cover shadow areas of satellite signals (by use of UHF terrestrial transmission to cover dense buildings in urban areas), and the mobile communication network to provide a return channel for two way interaction, so as to form an end-to-end network system that can provide seamless nationwide coverage and combine the unidirectional broadcasting and bidirectional interaction as well as the central and the locals.By using satellite communication, CMMB signal makes handsets receiving TV signal more qualified, plus movie, TV and radio carriers of National Radio Film and Television company that make the TV content of handset more colorful. Especially for 2008 Olympic game is coming, there are around 4 hundred of millions of handset users in China, no doubt, TV handset market is a potential huge market.CMMB is a new generation multimedia standard which is suitable for national network environment, commercial environment, and is a kind of scientific, reasonable standard.This thesis describes the design and the realization of Multiplexer System which follows CMMB standard. Based our system, Multiplexer is the key equipment of multimedia broadcasting, and also is a high-tech one. The design and the realization have certain features and patents that other system doesn' t have. The system combines one or more audio, video and date streams to one TS stream as output, it also be able to insert ESG or CA content into TS stream. This system does support maximum 6 inputs and ASI interface. Comparing with other system in this field, the core technology that this thesis mentioned has merits. Furthermore, the thesis points out some solutions that is more effective for improving system stable and efficient.
