Shenbao' s reporters spent more than 3 years writing more than 70 articles to cover the case, and helped the innocent win the justice. It' s the earliest social news which introduced continuous coverage to Chinese newspapers. Its creative work is worth learning, but the spirit of the newspaper is even admirable.The dissertation will probe into the analysis of the 78 report, trying to find out the characters of shenbao' s early social news, which may give out inspiration for today' s social news.First of all, the dissertation will introduce the background of the study and its significance, and then it will retrospect the previous studies on the subject, and explain the research methods, which will give out the outline of the study.In the main part of the dissertation, there are three chapters. Since there are no mature types of writing the social news, the shenbao had to create its new way to produce the social news. The first chapter focuses on how shenbao founded the model the social news.The second chapter is trying to find out the feature of the coverage. First of all, it will introduce the truth of the case to make the readers clear how the case happened and how it developed. Then the chapter will further study the articles to find out why the coverage become succeed.The final chapter is the sublimation of the dissertation. As for the modern researchers, we study the history of the newspapers is to make it helpful to today' s newspapers. In the Yang naiwu' s Case, it' s not only the process itself which is typical in the social news, but also the perspective of it continual coverage of the shenbao, its method and the spirit of the newspaper is significant to today' s newspaper. So the dissertation will try to find out the inspiration for today' s social news in this chapter.
