The Artificial Neural Network Technology Applications And Research, Professional Recognition Model

Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is a system consisting of many simple parallel units, whose function was determined by the structure of network. ANN is a nonlinear dynamic system which aims to imitate the structure and function of human brain to dispose the information. As one of the most active and promising fields in the world, ANN has been applied broadly in many fields for its unique disposing form of information, such as industry produce monitoring and controlling, classification, forecasting, analysis disposing, stock analysis etc. In these different network models, back-propagation network is the most representative and widely applied one.Ocean university of China has offered the new educational and teaching administration system for undergraduates since 2003, which is famous for its "Courses Selection System" and "Specialty Identification System" . According to teaching plan, the students can select all the courses by internet, and they can also choose one or two specialties to major in.This paper is searching for a method to identify which specialties they choose by using the theory of back-propagation network in the educational affairs. In the model of specialty identification system, the courses and the teaching plan are input, then we can result the specialty they are majoring in by comparing the percents for every specialty after we training the network successfully. If somebody has finished all of courses of one of the teaching plans offered by the school, he can graduate from the specialty. In the end, Summarization and unsolved problems of the paper are presented.
