Based On The Design Of The Kerberos Authentication System For Fingerprint Authentication

With the widely application of the computer network technology, the information security is getting more and more important and the computer network becoming more and more fragile. Identity authentication is the first shield of the security system of network. But the common method such as using password isn't content with the development of technology and society. People wish to find a more convenient and reliable authentication system. To cope with this challenge, we look to biometrics and hope to enhance identity verification by using our body's physical character and behavior.At first, we summarize the development of identity authentication, and analyze the characteristic of Kerberos identity authentication and fingerprint recognition, then design the functional module and the workflow of this system. Kerberos is the three-side indentical protocol for TCP/IP neework designs according to the mode of Client/Server. It is wide used in the accessing the Internet and acts as the reliable arbitrator. But the Kerberos protocol have some defects. With the prupose to improve the Kerveros protocol, this thesis combines the fingerprint recognition and Kerberos. After a detailed analysis, the improved Kerberos protocol is more secure and can repel effectively the password-guessing attack, replay attack and malware attack.In this thesis, we deeply analyse and investigate the Kerberos authentication protocol and the key algorithm of automatic fingerprint recognition technology. Based on it, the thesis brings forward the method to realize the system. It is a reliable and efficient authentication system.
