The Application Of Face Recognition Technology In Identity Authentication Of Information Systems

Information security has become the focus of the whole society for the networks are more open and international. Identity authentication plays an important role in protecting information from unauthorized access. Thus a reliable identity authentication way will be one of the key elements in information security.Biologic Character Recognition springs up in the late 20th century. Hard to forge, never lost, never forgot and easily used are its characters. Biologic Character Recognition overcomes the shortcomings of traditional identity authentication mechanisms and provides a more safe and reliable mechanism. Face Recognition becomes the most potential one in the domain for its amity and convenient using.Presently, the research about Face Recognition is mainly in two ways. One is based on the method of transcendent knowledge including template matching and face rules , the other is based on the method of learning and training. Hard to extract characters and accessible to light and accouterment are the main difficulties of Face Recognition technology.In the design, we apply Face Gravity-Center Template Matching to realize the face detection and location .The solution has a simple algorithm and can detect faces from complex backgrounds exactly and quickly so that we can get a better result.The following is the framework of this article:Firstly, the article introduces information security and its technologies, and at the same time gives a focal introduction of its importance, characteristic, realization, and so on.Secondly, the article introduces Biologic Character Recognition technology and its developments, advantages and applications. Meanwhile, several Biologic Character Recognition technologies are compared.Thirdly, the article particularly analyzes the core technology of Face Recognition, illuminates its basic theories and the construction of the Face Detection System.Finally, the article provides a whole solution for identity authentication systems applying Face Recognition technology.
