Science And Technology Awards Unified Information Retrieval Research And Design

With the informationization and networking of the National Science and Technology Awards as well as its different departments' heterogeneous and distributed stored awarding information, it is necessary to build a unified searching system in which variant resources of different types and structures in different environments can be integrated. Then it allows users to search information of great convenience and high efficiency.On the base of analyzing features of the resources in Science and Technology Awards and network topological structure, a unified searching system architecture, based on .NET Remoting and Web Services technology, is proposed for Science and Technology Awards. And it analyzes its structure and function modules in detail. It can not only make advantage of .NET Remoting technology's good performance in resolving the intranet's distributed application and capability of flexible and fast development, but also assure the loosen coupling of these components with Web Service's efficient integration, and eventually resolve the problems of system heterogeneousness and firewall in Internet. Then the organizational structure of Intranet and Internet are provided in the paper.In order to enhance the efficiency of this unified searching system, the paper first proposes a two-tier model index mechanism based on regional division, in which the upper index is used to find nodes storing resources while the lower index is used to search the resources in the nodes, and describes the searching process based on this index mechanism; Then it discusses the system's global data model and its conversion, followed by a unified searching results record model and results collection strategy based on the model; and then the paper introduces some optimization measures of the system; Finally, there is the implementation of some modules of the searching system.
