Image intensifier is the core device in the field of low-light level (LLL) night vision technology, thus many parameters need to be measured, and resolution is one of the most important. However, because of the work-band restrictions of the traditional LLL image intensifier test system, it's unable to test ultraviolet (UV) and near-infrared bands of the image intensifier; therefore it's necessary to develop a new test system to complete the wide spectrum of the image intensifier performance measurement.Wide spectrum is the basic condition need to be satisfied. The ideal test system should be able to cover 0.2~1.6μm of the band. As an ordinary optical glass can not be transmitted ultraviolet light, therefore the testing system must use the reflective optical system instead of a transmission optical system. The reflective optical system this thesis used consist of two mirrors, the bigger one called primary mirror is an off-axis parabolic mirror; the smaller one called secondary mirror placed parallel to the primary mirror is also an off-axis parabolic mirror. The two mirrors constitute a finite conjugate optical imaging system, and make up a complete optical test system with other optical component. Image intensifier is installed in regulation with sophisticated three-dimensional scaffold scale, through the microscope eyepiece or CCD to achieve accurate imaging and observation. This paper is in support of Xi'an 205 Institute "wide spectrum image intensifier comprehensive testing device" research project .The test device is mainly used to measure ultraviolet, dim-light and infrared image intensifier of the resolution, cathode effective diameter, and so on.
