From 1983, CCTV Spring Festival Evening was held in the annual New Year's Eve. After 25 years, CCTV Spring Festival Evening encountered a bottleneck. Based on previous studies and perspective of CCTV Spring Festival Evening, which mainly supported by Cultural Semiotics, and also supported by Culturology, this paper inquire into the law of the development of CCTV Spring Festival Evening, and try to explore the way of continued development. In accordance with the logic clues: "symbols form text, texts form culture, cultures form symbol domain" in Lotman's Cultural Semiotics, and with the theories of " signifier", "signified", "semantic analysis", "characteristics of the concept of text," "cultural meaning and development" "symbol domain of innovation and historical inheritance", step by step, I will analyze the various symbols of CCTV Spring Festival Evening signifier and signified, artistic language and audio-visual language that can be referred to, analyze CCTV Spring Festival Evening text attributes of the characteristics, functions, communication, analysis of CCTV Spring Festival Evening the unique cultural connotation. By review the transformation of Chinese culture and the development of television, the position of CCTV Spring Festival Evening cultural are identified in Chinese TV culture symbol domain. Microscopic content such as producing programmers, arranging structure, defining the subject are also involved. Greater efforts in maintain traditional culture and promote ethnic culture can be achieved under the direction of macroscopic law of cultural development to the continuous innovation of CCTV Spring Festival Evening, and a new idea for television research are also be provided, which can contribute some strength to the establishment of TV semeiology.
