Cone-beam Computerized Tomography (abbr. CBCT) has a wide range of application prospective in the areas of medicine and industrial non-destructive test, for its making use of rays efficiently and high spatial resolution. Aimed to develop indstrial CT system, the main research content and achievements are articulated as follows,1. We develop a BPF (back-projection-filtration)-based reconstruction algorithm for cone beam CT with unilateral off-centered RT scan mode. One feature of the algorithm is that the algorithm is able to reconstruct image directly without explicit projection data rebinning process. Therefore, it not only speeds up the image reconstruction, but also improves the spatial resolution of the reconstructed image. Another feature of the algorithm is that the projection data required for image reconstruction are approximately reduced by half.2. Based on the 2D BPF algorithm, we derive a weighed BPF-based 3D approximate algorithm following the steps of the deduction of FDK algorithm. When the data acquired is truncated or cone angle is larger, the algorithm can also reconstruct the image without severe artifacts.
