As a new medical detection method,photoacoustic computed tomography imaging has been rapidly developed at home and abroad in recent years due to its deep imaging depth,high spatial resolution,high contrast,and non-destructive testing.Image reconstruction algorithms play a crucial role in photoacoustic computed tomography imaging and determine the effect of image reconstruction.This paper focuses on the research and improvement of the traditional back-projection algorithm.The main contents of the work are as follows:1.The principle of photoacoustic imaging and the photoacoustic computed tomography system are introduced.2.Introducing the common image reconstruction algorithm,analyzing the characteristics of the traditional back projection algorithm,pointing out the limitations of the current back projection algorithm,and leading to an improved algorithm.The two improved principles of the improved algorithm are briefly introduced:taking into account the sensitivity of the probes in different areas and the specific dimensions of the probes.3.The adaptability of the improved algorithm is studied.Firstly,the imaging effects of the improved algorithm and the traditional back-projection algorithm are simulated and compared.The effects of the sensitivity setting and the number of probe area block divisions on the improved algorithm are analyzed.Then the images of the two algorithms are compared by changing the type and size of the probe.Finally,by comparing the reconstruction effects of complex images,it is concluded that the improved algorithm can effectively improve the tangential resolution of the imaging target comparing to the traditional back projection algorithm,and also has a better imaging effect.4.Verifying the improved algorithm on the physical simulation.Through the point object imitating two-dimensional circular scanning experiment and the complex object imitating two-dimensional circular scanning experiment,the correctness of the simulation is verified from the physical simulation level,and it also verifies the advantage of the image reconstruction effect of the improved algorithm over the traditional back projection algorithm.
