This thesis studied the technology of the weather radar signal processing system, analysed meteorological parameter estimation of weather radar, and analysed the DSP system engineering design of the dual-polarization coherent pulse Doppler weather radar.The weather radar signal processing is based on China's new generation of weather radar CINRADD/CC signal processing system platform and make full use of it's results, and adopted dual-polarized technology in the domestic and international meteorological analysis of the latest research results.Firstly, this thesis discussed the development condition and the application prospect of the domestic and foreign weather radar. At present, our country has made great progress on weather radar research and design , and it's need also becoming diversified on the application platform, including ground,airborne and spaceborne etc, so that the weather observation of the three-dimersional can be realized,and provide more analysis data to various weather process evolution; Analysed and expounded the DSP technology , as pulse Doppler weather radar signal processing technology and dual-polarization weather radar signal processing technology and so on.Secondly, it analysed and simulated to the technology of the weather radar DSP, its content quite comprehensive integrity. Clutter suppression technology, the reflectivity estimation, mean frequency and spectrum width estimates by PPP or FFT algorithm, PRF stagger, some related parameter of dual-polarization (for example differential reflectivity, linear depolarization ratio,specific differential phase shift,correlation coefficient at zero lag etc.) have analysed and simulated and proved.Finally, it introduced the DSP system of dual-polarization weather radar designed by the author. This system platform is the general DSP parallel processing system based ADSP21060, has the software characteristic for systen design. This system uses the IAGC technology, enhances dynamic range of the linear channel, to fulfill the required of weather radar large dynamic range; discuss the specification of the general DSP engineering design with the general DSP application; has provided the IIR filter engineering design method for the special request of the clutter suppression in the weather radar; Introduced how to design PPP or FFT in the project, and solved the question of ambiguity velocity resolution; Introduced how to solve the compatible question with dual-polarization model and conventional pulse Doppler model in the system design; Introduced the basic content of correct technology on the radar system, the technology enhanced the believable level for the parameter of radar system in daily service; Simply introduced the timing design.This thesis has realized synthesis for DSP technology and the engineering design on the weather radar, has some reference value for the weather radar DSP system design. It provides the basis physics product in some weather process on radar, facilitates to understanding the importance of systems on weather radar signal processing.
