This dissertation is a beforehand researchful item of the 10th institute of china electronic technology group corporation. Through academic analyse,model simulation,practical test, this dissertation is to obtain the feasible method of a wide-dynamic-range direct detection millimeter-wave receiver front-end.The receiver includes: heterodyne receiver and direct detection receiver. Compared with heterodyne receiver, the direct detection receiver has many advantages, for example, simplicity,not need local oscillator,use a little power and etc,but, it's typically 35 - 40 dB less sensitive than a heterodyne receiver。So the keystone of this dissertation is how to increase the square-Law dynamic range and the sensitivity of the direct detection receiver. The base of this dissertation is to research the dynamic range and sensitivity about the detector;then,with the detectors, the square-law dynamic range of the receiver front-end can reach 50dB, and this always is the innovation of this dissertation.Chapter 1 is the prolegomenon; chapter 2 introduces the theory of the Schottky diode; chapter 3 introduces the theory and the design of the millimeter-wave detector; and the last chapter introduces the design of the double-channel direct detection millimeter-wave receiver front-end.Through academic analyse,model simulation,practical test, the dissertation reach its preconcerted purpose.
