Kangding Teachers Teachers Blog System Design And Development

Nowadays web applications have been widely used for educational purpose. However there's only general network interface such as school website and homepages for individual department has been applied in Kangding Nationality Teacher's College(KDNTC), which have very limited effect on daily teaching tasks focusing on individual interaction between lecturers and students. Therefore developing a Lecturer Blog System(LBS) for KDNTC is positive in terms of enhancing the interaction and communication between lecturers and students, promoting educational development, as well as displaying lecturers' individual characters and personalities.Based on the outline of system design for the Kangding Nationality Teacher's College LBS(KLBS), the author fully analyzes the functional requirement of KLBS, explains the characteristic of Ruby and Rails together with a discussion of the Ruby and Rails technology. Meanwhile, the author expatiates the Rails system frames and relevant core technique, raises a plan to develop the KLBS on a Ruby-on-Rails structure basis. Analyzing and describing an efficient method to implement the KLBS by using Ruby on Rails. Also the author particular analyses the design and implement of most core functional modules such as multi-user support, all-level user management, personal homepage management, static page generating, file resource upload, online discussion, etc.The traits of the KLBS are adopting Ruby on Rails technique, improving system developmental efficiency, plus the MVC structure is favorable to maintainability. Moreover, according to the requirement of taking the KLBS as assistant to web teaching, the resources upload/download subsystem and the online discussion subsystem have been specially designed. Besides, as a new web developing frame, the Ruby on Rails technique is currently short of engineering practices, cases and monographs in China in both application area and scientific research area, which makes the assignment achieves certain technical difficulty and research value.
