Ruby On Rails Technology-based Information System Design And Development

In recent decades IT developments have had a major impact on business processes. The introduction of the PC, LAN, client/server technology and the internet has enabled organizations to bring their products and services to market more quickly. These developments have ushered the trasition from the industrial to the information age. As the basis of enterprise informatization, IT infrastructure is comprised of necessary hardware, network equipment, software and some applications systems or services which depend upon these hardware and software facilities. However, constructing IT infrastructure is only the first step of enterprise informatization. It is more important to manage and use these resources to satisfy customers'business needs and achieve performance targets specified within service level agreements.The thesis expounds the development of one human-resource management system based on Ruby on Rails. First, building the system expounds the processes of analysis, design, development, testing and deployment for building the human-resource management system, describes the steps in detail and pointing out the advantages of quickly building an application based on Ruby on Rails by practice. The description of technical features is included in the implement part. It expounds the advanced technologies point-by-point and how to building a high-powered, secure and stabile application quickly by these technologies. At last part process improvement logs the processes and their improvements in the whole development of the human resource management system. Fourth part conclusion summarizes effects of the application.This research is meaningful and can be a reference to quickly developing other web applications based on Ruby on Rails or some other web frameworks.
