The matching load is a important apparatus in the microwave system, which relates to the system transmission efficiency, power capacity and stability, and also relates to the fixed error and measuring accuracy in the process of microwave measurement. Whatever the load is very important in microwave technique and microwave system. The traditional water load couldn't get more development in enlarging its power capacity and decreasing its VSWR for disfigurement in structures. the research on wideband and high power of the loading as the system terminal failed to keep pace with the development of the high power microwave system.After the research of the water load with radiation water container, the double-ridge waveguide water loading with high-power on wideband has been designed. the four different parameters, including the structures of water container, the angle of the cutting double-ridge waveguide, the thickness of dielectric sheet and the material character of dielectric sheet, on the effects of water loading are studied with the commercial three-dimension electromagnetic simulator MWS CST. The four different parameters are assurance in base of the simulate results and actual condition and finally the double-ridge waveguide water loading is machined.The measurement of double-ridge waveguide water loading with different water temperature including the room temperature(20℃), 30℃, 40℃, 50℃is described. The measurement results are very good and have good use in high-power. Then how to use the double-ridge waveguide water loading in high-power has described. Finally, the study of the double-ridge waveguide water loading with high-power and used as the high-power calorimeter are presented.
