It was found in the 1960s that electronic equipments was deadly threatened by the transient electromagnetic pulse(TEMP). Because of the steep front and a wide spectrum of TEMP, it applied in many field than sine wave signal. The most important attributes of PCSS's(Photoconductive semiconductor switches) are jitter free triggering, low inductance and capacitance, fast rise time, fast recovery time and high repetition rate, so PCSS can substitude for the traditional switch. It has a broad application prospects that include communications systems and radar systems etc. One ideal TEMP source can be made by PCSS because of its ultrafast rate. In the paper one TEMP source is made by one GaAs PCSS and the TEMP is transmitted by Blumlein transmission line and radiated by a slot antenna.In the theoretical research of TEMP, the transient response models of PCSS have been studied, but they use a constant migration rate and not perfect explained in all literatures. It is not accordant with the actual situation so must amend migration rate. In the transmission law research of TEMP, the traditional methods are rigorous electromagnetic theory or electromagnetic simulation software, the former method is complex, while the latter is confined to the current restrictions in the computer's memory and the number of antennas all are limited, so it is necessary to introduce a simple calculation of the array method.First, in the paper the migration rate is amended on the basis of the statistical distribution and the better transient response models are put forward. It compares the size between the laser facula and PCSS length , explains the two different models of transient response, discusses the thickness difference of n and p in the simple combination and the non- simple combination, amends the migration rates in the Fermi distribution, are more closely with the experimental numerical results.Second, The array parameter are computed by using the point source, discussed firstly the ground reflectance problems, explain the three, four attenuation in the experiment. The coupling of the antennas are analysed and computed by the CST.Finally, in the experimental studies, the dark resistance curves are tested. The slowless transmission theory and the synthesis of electric field of system experiment are also tested. The radiation system is the large-scale field experiments on the system.
