As high-range-resolution radar, stepped frequency radar has great potential applications in precision control and guide weapons for its high range resolution ability and strong anti-jamming ability. The jamming to the precision control and guide weapons will help to enhance the penetration ability. The signal processing of MMW stepped frequency radar and jamming technology have been researched thoroughly in this thesis. In the first part, the signal processing stepped frequency radar is studied. The main work of this part is listed as following:(1) The principle of stepped frequency radar is analyzed; moreover the parameter request of the stepped frequency radar is given in this part. According to the definition of radar waveform's ambiguity function, the characteristics of stepped frequency radar waveform are analyzed in detail. The IFFT algorithm is deduced and the simulation of IFFT algorithm used in stepped frequency radar signal processing is also given. Finally, the super resolution algorithm is used for the signal processing. Furthermore, the comparison of algorithms is presented by simulation.(2) The influence of target motion on frequency stepped radar signal is discussed, and the method for the velocity compensate is researched. The key for velocity compensate is the velocity of target. In this part, the least burst error method and time domain compensation method are studied to estimate the velocity of target. Finally, the Radon-Ambiguity transform method is presented for the velocity estimate under low SNR condition. The simulation proves that the method works. In the second part, the main work for jamming the stepped frequency monopulse radar is listed as following:(1) The anti board-band-noise jamming ability and anti retransmitted-jamming ability are analyzed and proved by theoretical analysis and simulation.(2) The feasibility of asymmetric retransmitted jamming method is analyzed, and proved by simulation. The distance deception jamming and velocity deception jamming used by DRFM are also studied, and proved by simulation.
