With the development of network technology and maturation of distributed computing pattern,the disposal of heterogeneous data gets more and more applications. Heterogeneous data resources in different places each have their own store modes and manipulation methods. Heterogeneity between data sources leads to the differences oftheir information and organization,which makes up of huge and complicatedheterogeneous data environment,so how to implement effective data synchronizationof all kinds of data resources in this environment is an significative theme.SyncML(Synchronization Markup Language) is a data synchronization protocol of mobile devices that was created by SyncML initiative and became industry standard of OMA.SyncML protocol implements the transfer of message using XML,through which data synchronization can be achieved between discretionary mobile devices.In order to keep data consistency,all data must be stored in SyncML server in the network ,and then mobile devices are in sync with SyncML server.Based on the framework of SyncML protocol and the thought of man-in-the-middle attack,this paper put forward system architecture used to implement heterogeneous data synchronization.This architecture introduces synchronization agency acting as man-in-the-middle between two SyncML servers that need to accomplish data synchronization. The design thought of the agency is mainly that two SyncML client prototypes used to be in sync with corresponding servers are created in the agency.In order to implement data synchronization of two SyncML servers finally,it is important to realize synchronization between SyncML clients in the agency based on SyncML protocol. Heterogeneous data synchronization is implemented between SyncML servers at last only if the synchronization process above is accomplished successfully.Through adopting the synchronization architecture referred to in this paper, the synchronization problems of heterogeneous data sources can be resolved.
