This paper describes an experimental research on the steady state vibration, in different degree of coupling tightness of U3000 ultrasonic heavy aluminum wire bonder's bonding tool based on laser Doppler measurement technology. The vibration measurement principle of laser Doppler vibrometer,the steady state vibration characteristics of bonding tool have been studied when the tightness changes. The mechanical model of the bonding tool's steady-state vibration in different tightness have been given too. Main researches are below.The method of optical measurement,basal theory of measuring vibration and basic differential techniques of non-contact laser Doppler vibrometer have been introduced. Several other common laser non-contact measurement methods were also briefly introducedThe steady state vibration characteristics of bonding tool in different the degree of coupling tightness have been tested based on continuously scanning laser Doppler vibrometer. The experimental data of the bonding tool's steay-state vibration in different tightness have been analysed using Matlab software, and also some phemomena of the bonding tool's vibration have been displayed.The vibration characteristics of bonding tool in ultrasonic bonding device have been discussed again based on the basic equation of flexible beam's bending vibration. We draw the approximately mathematical model of steady state vibration under the analysis of vibration experiments phenomena and data in different tightness.All the studies could provide some insights for the ultrasonic bonding mechanism and the manufacture of the monitoring system for ultrasonic bonding process. And we draw some conclusions that have important instructional significance to optimize ultrasonic vibration system, improve the energy transmission efficiency.
