Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN), which integrate technologies of micro-electro-mechanism, sensing, embedded computing, distributed information processing and wireless communication, can concurrently test, sense, collect, process and transfer information of monitored objects to terminal users in real time. It is a novel technology about acquiring and processing information. WSN is a new research area of computer science and technology and it will be applied in many different fields in future. The Localization technique is one of important support techniques of the wireless sensor networks, is the precondition of many applications of the sensor networks, such as target identification, surveillance and tracking. With the research of the wireless sensor networks become more deeply, the problem of localization becomes more and more important. Self-localization of sensor node is to get the position information of unknown nodes by using information of some already known nodes and some special mechanisms. The basic approach is to use beacons that aware of positions as reference nodes, and other nodes compute their positions through the relationship of distance, angel, or network connectivity to the beacons. Nowadays, there are still lots of shortcomings in this technology such as great impacted by circumstances, high algorithm complexity and huge energy-costs, unsuitable for mobile sensor networks, etc.In This paper, the basic notions of the wireless sensor networks are first introduced. Then, the evaluation criterion of the performance and the taxonomy for wireless sensor networks self-localization system are described. The fundamental principles and characteristics of recent representative localization arithmetic are discussed and presented in detail. The main sources of error in range-based DV-Distance algorithm and an improved positioning algorithm which uses a differential error correction scheme are analyzed. I propose a new algorithm based on unit-distance DV-Distance which uses a differential error correction scheme with higher localization accuracy in my article. This paper uses C# program to implement correlative function of random disposal of nodes and test of localization accuracy and so on. At last this paper test its performance by experimentation.
