City distributed network parking management system was developed to solve the city vehicle parking management problem. The parking information terminal is an important part of the parking management services system. When the vehicle entered the parking areas, the parking information terminals that set up in the parking spaces automatically identify the parking vehicles and upload the parking information. Then the accurate and networked management of parking spaces and parking vehicles was achieved.The hardware platform of parking information terminal includes the LPC2119 as the core processor based on ARM7 architecture, integration of magnetic sensors and ultrasonic sensors to achieve monitoring and management of the vehicles, and CAN Bus interface to communicate with the parking meter bridge. The software programs were designed working in foreground software and background software working mode and the management of parking vehicles was achieved by external interrupts and time interrupts. Collection, capture and processing of sensor signals were achieved by vehicle location detection procedures; communications protocols were designed byCommunications with the parking meter bridge were achieved by the parking information terminal communications procedures. The parameters is set and read by external handset. The parking information terminal system that reaches the design requirement was accomplished after the debugging the hardware and software.The parking management and charge innovation was achieved by city distributed network parking management system based on modern electric technology and network technology considering the current parking status in China. Parking information terminal is the base of whole network management system, and play an important role in the city distributed network parking management system.
