This paper mainly narrates the design process of the crude-oil measurement system based on the SM89516A MCU made in SyncMOS Technologies Inc. The system accomplished data acquisition, storage and display. This paper analyzes the requirement of measuring system, developing method of hardware and software design. In addition, the paper also gives the detailed realization scheme.The crude-oil measurement system includes the master computer subsystem and slave computer subsystem, the slave computer subsystem executes those tasks, include data acquisition, storage, display, search and upload etc. The MCU works out cubage and yield of the crude-oil according the height of crude-oil. The data are stored to the NVRAM and uploaded to master computer subsystem. The master computer subsystem execute those functions such as the option and search of parameter, timer synchronization, user administration etc. and store those data to SQL database came from the slave computer subsystem. Those data can be worked out various reports.This paper first analyzes the present status and trend of crude-oil measurement, then analyzes the requirement of measurement system, gives the project of hardware design, flow of monitor software, communication protocol and key technology. Last, we analyze the source of deviation.After the system has been worked out successful, the present status relied on labor will be changed. The system have been used for half year, users have attained to superior economic benefit and social benefit.
