Real-time Communication System Based On The Service Network Architecture Design And Implementation,

With the development of Internet, services of online become more and more popular. VoIP -- Voice over IP is one of the most popular applications in Internet. SIP -- Session Initiation Protocol, constituted by IETF -- Internet Engineering Task Force, is based on Client/Server module. The protocol makes the rules of session's lifetime. Accepting principles of simpleness, open, compatibility and extendibility in Internet design, SIP refers some ideas from other protocols and focuses on security in network.Redundant functions overlap between neighboring layers and complicated layered processes, the traditional network based on layered architecture gets poor service efficiency. According to analysis and generalization of current network services, a new type of network architecture -- SUNA, Service Unit based Network Architecture, were presented. Service Unit provides services, but does not receive any services, which avoids interactions between neighboring layers or waste of delivering services. Service Unit not only serves local node applications but also cooperates with others to serve the other node or network. In a Service Unit system, one service group organizes the Service Unit related. While in the network, there are plenty of the systems working together. SUNA is the architecture with simpleness, extendibility, and easy to implement, furthermore, it is easy to be transited from TCP/IP.This dissertation illuminates the ideas, principles and concepts in SUNA, technologies and methods which used by real-time communication system in TCP/IP, then, find the right way to design and implement the system. The most important, Service Unit of real-time stream was adopted in the system for audio/video data transport the first time. After studied hard in documents of SIP technology, literature on programming in UNIX and SUNA, the real-time communication system based on SUNA was accomplished, which provided services including text, audio and video. In the tests, this system worked well and provided convenient and high quality services.
