Based On Service Metadata Architecture, Software Router Vc Management Mechanism And Implementation

With the development of information society, people have more and more requirements for high-performance and security of network service. Implicit weaknesses of TCP/IP network gradually expose, and characters of layered architecture make it difficult to import new technologies and standards. Mending former layer network doesn't solve the fundamental problem. The best solution is to design more reasonable network architecture and replace existing layered network gradually.Service unit network architecture is a new type of non-layered modular network architecture, its proposal is based on the analysis of network services and the deficiency in current layered network architectures caused by multi-layer functional duplication and complicated processing. Service unit is the minimum entity which provides services and conceals interior details, and does not receive any services, thus it avoids inter-layer interactions and costs of delivering services. Service unit not only provides service to local node, but also provides service to other nodes or the whole total network by collaborating with service units from different nodes. In conclusion, studying software router based on service unit is of great significance to improvement of existing network and rapid development of our computer network.This thesis comes from innovation fund project, design and realization of network model based on service unit, developed by College of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. The main tasks are as follows:1. Establishment of software router model based on service unit. Take the theory and implementation technology of existing classic modular router system for reference.2. Management model of virtual circuit under service unit network is constructed and analyzed; Policies about how to manage virtual circuits and communication model based on virtual circuits under service unit network are deeply studied.3. Virtual circuit management mechanism of software router based on service unit is proposed; design and realization of virtual circuit manager is discussed. Virtual circuit manager is the core module of service unit router, which establishes and maintains virtual circuit table, processes and switches control data unit and service data unit from service unit network, and controls throughput of network meanwhile.Service unit network architecture is brand-new non-layered network architecture. Study and realization of virtual circuit management mechanism of software router based on service unit need continuous grope and attempt. This thesis discusses how to use construction tecnologies of modular router to design and realize virtual circuit manager of service network router point, and finally realize virtual circuit management mechanism of software router based on service unit successfully.
