With the global informationization, the studies and realizations of e-commerce via Internet have come to be hot spots for the academic and business communities in the world. But the security of e-commerce becomes a big obstacle for further development. So it has drawn more and more attention that how to realize a secure, efficient and facile payment via an insecure network. Since electronic cash and physical cash in real life have the basic characteristics in common, this is different from some ways of payment such as credit card and electronic check. And meanwhile, it gives e-commerce many advantages for the combination with the convenience,security and privacy of computer network, such as anonymity,untraceability,low cost and flexibility. All the features make it an indispensable way of payment in the social construction of electronic payment in the global informationizaion in the future.Firstly, the paper introduces the electronic payment system,the basic conceptions of e-cash and summarizes the current research progress of e-cash system. Through carrying on a further study of Brands electronic-cash system, this paper proposes a secure and efficient e-cash system which is named Anonymity-revocable Fair Divisible Electronic Cash System.The anonymity-revocable fair divisible electronic cash system presented in this paper has realized the fair trade and revocation of the anonymity when it is necessary, by introducing the mechanism of trustee and restrictive blind signature. Because the trustee is only involved during the registration, disputation and revocation of anonymity, the scheme is highly efficient. By signing the monetary amounts of e-cash , the complexity and computation is reduced and the divisibility is implemented at the same time without jeopardizing its security. What's more, the validity duration of e-cash prescribed by the bank is embedded in the withdrawn e-cash. The bank only needs to keep all used and undue e-cash in his database, thus it reduces the storage level. The result of analysis indicates the scheme presented in the paper is a secure,efficient off-line e-cash system.The latter half of the thesis analyses how to apply the anonymity-revocable fair divisible electronic cash system into the design for an electronic commerce platform. The problems have been solved, which concern the security and fairness of exchange system based on e-cash under e-commerce platforms.Basing on the research of related systems and protocols, this thesis proposes a system structure of the e-cash payment, and describes the design and implementation flow of the protocol.
