The digital long-distance exploding system is one of the most important equipments in oil prospecting. Due to the particularity and fatalness of prospecting work, stable and effective real-time speech communication is needed between the field operators and supervising engineers. But until now, only individual analog interphones are used. Its communication quality is affected by weather and environment, and the price is very high, which can't meet the need of field application very well.In this paper, digital speech communication function is designed and realized on the existing hardware platform of digital long-distance exploding system. Because of the advantage of digital signal processing system, the communication quality, anti-jamming and upgrading characters are all better than traditional analog system. At the same time, with the existing hardware platform, the new system brings better integration, lower cost and much convenience for field application.According to the requirements of communication quality, channel capacity and arithmetic complexity, G.723 standard is chosen for data compression. On the analysis of wireless channel status, convolution and interlacement are used for channel coding, to reduce the error rate of data. In reverse, Viterbi and de- interlacement are used for decoding.Based on the scheme, software of speech communication system is realized on TMS320VC5509A DSP platform. At the same time, optimization is done according to the structure and instruction specialty of the DSP. As a result, memory usage and running efficiency are both satisfied. Test shows that good communication quality is achieved, which proves that the design is reasonable. At last, based on the conclusion and analysis of the test process, shortages of the system are pointed out, and improving measures are put forward.
