| The H.264/AVC video coding standard which jointly launched by the ITU-T Video Coding Expert Group and the ISO / IEC Moving Picture Expert Group is the most outstanding video coding standard in today's world. The standard is aimed at improving compression efficiency, adapting to the needs of future broadband network development, comparing with the previous standards, such as MPEG-2 and H.263, H.264 can save more than 40% of the bit rate. Whether from the coding efficiency, or effectively to a variety of network and application environment and flexibility, H.264/AVC has embodied a new generation video coding technology.However, the improvement of performance, is exchanged by increasing the complexity of calculation, in order to achieve higher compression efficiency, H.264 introduced a complex coding technology, thereby enhanced the requirements of the hardware and directly enhanced the cost of different solutions. In embedded multimedia player, due to limited resources, power, volume and structure of the code which has stringent requirements, wider application of H.264 has further delayed. Based on these consequences ,this paper transplanted and optimized the official reference model of H.264/AVC decoder JM10.1, and hope that the study will make the new generation of video coding technology more mature and enhance its promotion.First of all ,this paper introduced the new features of the standards in detail. And then with detailed analysis of the standards, we compared the generic CPU, custom ASIC, FPGA, MCU+DSP and other commonly used decoder implementations, at last according to the features of BLACKFIN BF533 ,such as good micro-control capability and the ability to support high-speed computing, high cost-effectiveness and well-functioning development kit, chose the platform for embedded hardware environment. Comparatively analyized the advantages and disadvantages between preparating decoder and transplanting decoder, transplanting commercial decoder and transplanting open-source decoder, as well as several major open-source decoders. Analysed on the selected platform of embedded hardware the ADSP-BF533 EZKIT, soluted a series of problems encountered by transplationg,and realized the basic class of H.264 decoder. Then designed the system block diagram of decoder on the hardware platform. Finally, analysed system optimization strategy for a variety of decoders, and had targeted application based on the hardware platform, so that improved work efficiency of the decoder. It provided reference programmes and applications ideas for realizing H.264 decoder under embedded environment. |
