LCD PCB is the PCB mainly used for LCD, which has precise size requirement. Due to that the NB goes cheaper and cheaper and that the traditional display will be abandoned for the sake of radiation to health, LCD is used in more and more applications, consequently the requirement for PCB becomes larger and larger.PCB industry is one with many decades of history, but with the development of IT industry, the requirement to PCB becomes much stricter. Now a lot of factories are engaged in mass production of LCD PCB, but few of them could produce satisfactory size conditions. Some PCB shops specialized in LCD PCB in the industry (including our competitors) could not yet yield excellent conditions, the size capability index---CpK goes below 1.0 and is not stable enough.The essay and synthesizes the whole manufacturing flow of PCB(using DOE method), finds out the key factor of size variation, accommodates the equipment, amends related parameters and finally achieves the stable size (CpK above 1), thus launches the mass production of LCD PCB successfully. Firstly try-run a small volume and finds out and resolves the variation factor of exposure process, which gets CpK above 0.8 and makes the large volume production achievable. Then adopt the TQM concept in mass production, with the total monitoring of SPC tools to manufacturing flow, continuously improve the size conditions, and in the end keep the CpK above 1.33, that is, the mass production gets into the stable period.
