Because of the limit of original network conditions, the application which takes Web as the core is always leading the whole Internet. While the net application develops in depth, the growth of Internet has been restricted. A new type of Internet application mode-P2P has been paid close attention.P2P is short for Peer-to-Peer and is called as equal-net or peer-to-peer technology. P2P is a net model in which all the nodes are equal. All the nodes have the same responsibility and ability to finish the task together. Equal-nodes share the information resources, processor resources, storage resources and cache etc. just through connecting directly without centralizing server or resources.Different agreements, different systems and different realization are just the exact description of P2P solutions currently. Developers use kinds of methodology and way to create P2P application. Towards the plentiful standards of C/S model, the standards in P2P fields are too less. So, SUN develop the JXTA. Everyone takes JXTA as the platform of P2P.This text proposes the distributed data search mode which based on P2P after analyzing existing data search system. This paper take the design of a patent search system as example, combine with the characteristic of P2P technology, design a distributed data search system based on P2P, construct the communication structure and every function structure for realizing the system, take JXTA JAVA technology as the P2P developing platform and accomplish the plan. Because of the characteristic of distributed data search system, the application of P2P technology will improve its performance and have a good application outlook.This text is divided into seven chapters altogether, the content per chapter is as follows:Chapter 1: It explains research background and meaning in which the thesis studies. Outline research contents and introduce the paper structure briefly.Chapter 2: It describes the concept of P2P, contrast P2P model with the traditional C/S model, introduces the characteristic of P2P,the question mainly faced,the current research situation both at home and abroad and the development prospects of P2P, analyzes the applications of P2P, thus draws out the application superiority of P2P. It analyzes two questions of constructing the P2P system - routes model and the realization skeleton. Describe the topology that P2P network used, route algorithm, naming method of nodes, transmission model of news as well as nodes joining and deletion algorithm in the system detailed.Chapter 3: It describes the P2P realization skeleton of JXTA, including JXTA origin and development, level structure, agreement as well as realization goal and so on.Chapter 4: After analyzing existing data search system, it analyses the advantages and shortcomings and the application situation, proposes the distributed data search mode which based on P2P. It produces the system communication structure, the function structure and function of various modules.Chapter 5: Take designing a patent search system as the example, describes the design thought of data transducer module in the system as well as the concrete realization frame and the realization technology.Chapter 6: Combines the JAVA reference realization of JXTA, elaborates the design of P2P network module as well as key details of realization and main technology used in the patent search system. At the same time, it elaborated the realization procedure of the search function in system and discuss the method used in the system improvement further.Chapter 7: Discuss the design thought of the system Web search platform and the realization frame briefly.
