Two important problems in the high power solid-state laser system are as follows: the first, how to improve the output energy of laser system; the second, how to control the far-field energy distribution and spot pattern. As beam passing through the laser system, there are many inevitable facts which distort the wave-front and degrade the laser beam quality. To ensure the beam quality reach the requirements of high efficiency third harmonic conversion and focal spot size, the correction of wave-front aberration has to be considered in the design of high power solid-state laser facility. An active correction method like adaptive optics technique has been used in many laser facilities. The farfield energy distribution can be improved after wavefront distortions corrected in real-time by adaptive optics system..In this thesis the application problem of adaptive optics system in high power solid-state laser facility is researched systematically. The main device parameters of adaptive optics system and scheme of adaptive optics system in high power solid-state laser facility are the two main topics of this thesis. The major research work can be listed as follows:1,The new method to assess the fitness ability of deformable mirror is researched; The influence of different deformable mirror parameters to the fitness ability of the deformable mirror is analyzed;2,The main problems when adaptive optics system used in high power solid-state laser facility are researched based, included: the method of Hartmann Sensor reference wavefront calibration, the transfer character of the middle and high frequency wavefront modulation after adaptive optics system correction, the problem of transfer the spatial filter pinhole after correction, ability of adaptive optics system to control 3ωbeam farfield;3,The scheme optimization of adaptive optics system in high power solid-state laser facility is researched; the feasibility of using big deformable mirror in high power solid-state which includes 90°rotation system is researched, included: The face solution existence when deformable mirror used in location of cavity mirror is proved and the fitness ability of deformable mirror is analyzed; the scheme of twice correction is analyzed based on SG-III laser facility; the new scheme of twice correction when deformable mirror located in cavity mirror corrects the main-amplifier wavefront is proposed when changing the location of Hartmann Sensor; Different schemes are compared by the main problem such as: correction range increment of deformable mirror, improvement of transfer the filter pinhole.
