Abstract: The diagnosis of distorted wavefront is a key issue in the field of high power laser system, which play a important role in laser transmission and amplifying. We study the algorithm for wavefront reconstruction and the design of the software for data processing in ICF high power laser system. using the Hartmann wavefront sensor. The main work and obtained results can be summarized as follows:1. We analyze the effect and the causation of distorted wavefront in the field of high power laser system.The meaning of wavefront reconstruction and the character of different method for wavefront reconstruction have be discussed.2. We depict the principle of HSWS(Hartmann-Shack wavefront sensor) and establish a program which can simulate the whole process of wavefront reconstruction. By the program we analyze both the effect of the changing in the number of sub-aperture and the removing of the CCD plane from the focus plane of the micro-lens in zonal wavefront reconstruction algorithm.3. The modal wavefront reconstruction algorithm for circular area has be studied by the simulation program.We establish a experiment system based on the Hartmann wave front sensor and research the modal wavefront reconstruction algorithm for circular area in experiment from the comparing of the reconstruction results of WYGO interferometer and of our HSWS system.
