Based on the Digital Microfluidic Technology is created by ourself, some keyquestions are done, including the designing and manufacturing of the micronozzle—akey part of the digital micro-jetting component, the experiment about the digital chipsmicroarrays spotting and the spotting stability. This work provides fine base for theexploiting of the superior quality chips microarraya jetting spotting equipment.A new micronozzle used in digital microarrays spotting is invented; the micronozzleis manufactured on the base of the glass precise fabricating technology. In the paper, thestructure capacity, technology feature and the utilizing effort about the new micronozzleare instructed.Digital chips microarrays spotting experiment system is builded, digital chipsmicroarrays spotting and testing experiment research are carried out with the newmicronozzle. The results indicate that the density of the producted microarraya, the sizeand uniform of specimen, the uniform of arrayas have fine chips microarrays spottingeffect.The questions about the jetting stably are summarized, some parametersinfluencing on the stability of the digital chips microarrays spotting are definite,including micronozzle structure parameters; physics character of jetting liquid;controlling parameters and exterior factors. The stability of the digital chips microarraysspotting is reseached by lots of experiments, the chief researching results are given: thenew micronozzle is more stable than needle micronozzle; micronozzle structureparameters and controlling parameters—driving voltage, frequency, etc.—are providedfor the digital chips microarrays stable spotting. Driving voltage and frequency have aninfluence on stability of jetting, the best optimized composition of driving voltage andfrequency is exist, it can make jetting stable and uniform; controlling jetting distance in astable range can eliminate the phenomenon about liquid spot fragmentation and spatterefficaciously; making the height of liquid pillar in the micronozzle locate at a balancestate can lower jetting voltage and increase the valid responding range of jetting.
