With the application of high-tech in cruise missiles, stealth aircraft, laser weapons, unmanned aircraft, radars, the target identifying capabilities, hiding degree and attacking accuracy are improved so greatly that the request for servo system in air defense system should be higher and newer. Based on electromechanical integration and automatic control technology and being as the organic product, servo system has a very broad prospect and, and the research becomes a hot spot.Firstly, the paper elaborates general design for the DSP-based digital servo system. This paper elaborates the DSP-based digital servo system's overall structure, and based on the system output capacity requirements, chooses Rare-earth permanent magnet brushless synchronous servo motor and driver; then according to the precision of the system requirements, chooses a dual-channel rotary transformers and rotary encoder combination of detection devices; finally, introduces the design of DSP servo system, and analyses servo controller, the sampling control circuit, the output control circuit and the peripheral interface circuit based on the micro controller TM320F206.Secondly, this paper presents a software design based on DSP digital servo system. The control software of Servo system control is composed of the main signal acquisition and sending, data processing and control algorithm components. Signal collecting and sending includes the information exchange in computers and position data collecting; data processing is sampling and filtering kinds of signals; control algorithm charges the calculation on controlling parts.Thirdly, it makes a detailed study in control algorithm. Concerning the high accuracy and high speed of DSP-based digital servo system, makes a compare between the results from traditional PID algorithm simulation and intelligent PID algorithm simulation, and it shows that traditional PID algorithm can not meet performance criteria.Finally, in the actual test, To achieve the various technical indicators, the system uses intelligent PID algorithm, feed forward compensation to complex control algorithms to achieve the targets, and System's control accuracy is improved significantly, and the system performance is greatly enhanced.tracking all kinds of typical signals, the Digital Servo System have achieved satisfactory control effect, which runs stably and meets technical requirements.
