According to the rapid development of distributed computing technology based on network computing platform, the distributed component technology and heterogeneous service technology develop vigorously centering on application requirement supporting application interoperation and characterized by object-oriented technology.Based on distributed environment, heterogeneous service composition is a kind of software-reusing method, according to unified XML-based service composition description document, which assembles services based on different kinds of architecture standards into a powerful, larger service or application. Heterogeneous service composition managing engine is the kernel of Heterogeneous service composition platform which implements it's flow's running and driving.After studying current heterogeneous service composition technique and workflow technique in detail, to solve the problem that current heterogeneous composition platform didn't support heterogeneous service's composite on the Internet, this paper designs and accomplishes heterogeneous service composition managing engine. This engine abstracts heterogeneous sources to isomorphous service with unified interface, packaging the details of bottom layer's data transmission and platform relative API. When invoking heterogeneous resource, according to service configuration information, engine chooses matching service invoke interface, providing high level abstraction to users to hide grid complexity. Paper put emphasis on expounding a XML Schema-based protocol description of service composition flow achieving an expandable protocol description; providing kernel dispatch algorithm which adopting microkernel design thought, accomplish identifying and controlling of control modes such as: sequence, parallel, split and running policy of atomic service and composite service; taking use of Java Reflection to achieve choosing and driving heterogeneous service invoke agent interface.
