Expatiated the general design process, and hardwareand software configuration about Slitting double-side shear monitorsystem based on process control requirement and Slitting double-sideshear technical flow.The anterior researcher had made all-around reconstruct to Slittingdouble-side shear locale control system, and realized a complete digitalcontrol system, but Slitting double-side system had always taken placesome faults and most of them need engineer to locate to analyse andrepair. Some questiones had been showed gradually, time was very shortand technician was little. It was need to empolder correlative faultdiagnose equipment and tool, made fault diagnose more rapidly and moreaccurately.We adopted industrial Ethernet and PROFIBUS-DP communicatemechanism combining the system characteristic when we designed thesystem communication. Ethernet fulfilled the needs of all levels control,made project communication identical with control network, reduce cost,learn and apply easily. PROFIBUS-DP is applied to locate high-velocity data transfer.PLC communicated with disperse locale equipments at thelevel.We adopted two level monitor system with SIEMENS S7-400 seriesPLC and industry control computer. The monitoring part used SIEMENSconfiguration software WinCC6.0 by way of tap tool, designed monitormenu, workouted corresponding monitor program; the diagnosis partadopted expert system fault diagnose, the knowledge expression adoptedfault tree and Production rule, the consequence way was certainty andfuzzy theory, make Slitting double-side shear' s fault diagnose morespeedy and more exactly.
