Design And Implementation Of The Pdsn Simulator-ppp Module And Nat Modules

PDSN is short for Packet Data Serving Node. We cooperate with CDMA business division of Beijing Capitel to develop PDSN Simulator which is the gateway between RAN and PSPDN. The functions of PDSN Simulator are to provide basic data access to multi users, assign IP address to mobile station, route and transform packet. It also supports A10 and A11 port, as well as NAPT.This paper comprises of seven chapters according to the projects I participated in during my graduate years. The first chapter introduces the background of this project and the architecture of this paper. The second chapter briefly introduces the related knowledge of CDMA2000 1X system and expatiate on data communication. The third chapter mainly introduces the whole architecture of PDSN Simulator and functions of every module. The details of my work are discussed in the fourth and fifth chapters. The forth chapter introduces the Point-to-Point protocol and mainly focuses on designs and implementation methods of PPP module, as well as its submodules. The fifth chapter introduces the principle of NAT and foncuses on designs and implementation methods of NAT module. The six chapter is mainly introduces the software tests, including the purpose, environments and results of the tests. The last chapter summarizes this project and puts forward some unsolved questions. The topics that this paper touches are closely related with social applications especially the Mobile Communication Equipment Manufactures. It is utilitarian and has great market application promise.
