There are various social problems caused by social informationization, in whichthe problem of information equity becomes the main problem that is regarded as animportant researching problem by the society. This paper discusses the problem ofinformation equity and strategy of assurance in China on the point of social science. Thepaper takes the relationship between the condition of information activity and theinformation equality as the overall studying structure, and takes the information sharingequality and inequality as the basic evaluating measures. The paper analyzes the socialbackground that leads to information equality and discusses the some theoreticalproblems such as the connotation, the principles, the manifestation and the structure ofthe information equality. Aiming at the absence of information equality in contemporarysociety, the paper describes the condition of digital divide and informationdifferentiation in a group as well as in a certain region. The paper also discloses thetechnical, economical and social causes of information inequality in China, andanalyzes the serious effect of this status. At the same time, the paper emphasizes thefundamental value tendency of information equity construction—information richnessand information equity. According to the national situation of China, the paperadvocates the comprehensive analysis of information equity construction principlesthrough technical, economical and social aspects. The paper finally puts forwards thefour strategies of information equity construction, including the major competenceassurance, systematic assurance, ethnical assurance and concept assurance.
