Smartphone Usage With New Digital Divide

With the growing development of the wireless networks and smart phone, the long-standing "digital divide" problem extended to the field of mobile phones. From the social aspect, for the most people have used internet, the divide between the internet users and non-users is no longer that a big problem (Geum&Joe,2009).But as the use and popularity of smart devices, especially the smart phone, the meaning of "digital divide" is changing. On one hand, the digital divide on its traditional sense is reducing day by day. On the other hand, some researchers think the popularity of smart devices brings much more complicated and more multilevel divide.In this study, I will analysis these two opposite phenomenon on the basis of existing data, and then get to know the current situation of digital divide. Meanwhile this article will also analysis whether there is "second-level digital divide" among smart phone users, by using depth interview and empirical study methods.
