Henan Province Gprs Rainfall Monitoring System Is Developed

Since long time ago, The rainfall is surveyed manually or automatically and transmitted to data center by fixed transmission or telephone line digit dialing (a modem inside). The data is not accurate and timely based on the fixed transmission. In the rainy season, especially flood season, the mode can hardly meet the user's need, and the inefficiency of decision-making in flood prevention and disaster relief.With the development of technology, it is necessary for meteorological monitoring instruments to be intellectualized and networkable. By collecting the rainfall data of each observation point through GPRS transmission, the meteorological data could be monitored real-time. Based on wireless grouping exchange technology of GSM system, GPRS provides point-to-point, the wide web wireless IP connection, and has the incomparable superiority in the long-distance real-time transmission of paroxysmal data, especially suitable for frequent small data transmission. The mode applies to meteorological data gathering and transmission.Henan GPRS rainfall monitoring system is composed of village-town GPRS the rainfall-monitoring station, the data-process center and the Webgis homepage. The station has the function of data collection, storage and demonstration, and could transmit the data to the center by GPRS. The data center responsible for the processing, storing and indexing of the real-data. The web provides the interface for the customers to inquiry by electronic maps and data form.This project uses VC++, T-SQL, ASP languages , sensor, mobile communication and precision measurement Internet, etc. and has realized multi-spots, long-distance, the real-time data, transmission and processing.Finally, this paper summarized the monitoring system, prospected its development, and emphasized the successful application . pointed out that it provids a general, ideal information processing model for other data acquisition and transmission.
