China is a large agricultural country with water resources shortage. The water-efficient agriculture is the inexorable trend in the agricultural development of our country. Water-saving irrigation plays a crucial role in the water-efficient agriculture. In order to improve utilization efficiency of irrigation water, the water-saving irrigation adopts the advanced irrigation technology to allocate the water resources into soil of root of the crop as appropriate as possible and keeps the soil suitable for crops growth with water sources, ventilation and nutrition.Micro-sprinkling irrigation is one of water-saving irrigation technology and has been widely developed in recent years. It is a low-pressure pipeline system and takes advantage of spray and drip irrigation technology. Micro-sprinkling irrigation technology is a local irrigation technology that can spray to the soil surface through smaller flow of water. It has the virtue of water-saving, labor saving, energy saving, production increasing and so on.This thesis introduces an intelligent micro sprinkler irrigation controller which based on 89C52 Single-chip Microcomputer. Compared with the traditional definite sprinkler irrigation time controller, it has the following advantages:1. It has the feature of multiple controls, i.e., it can simultaneously control four different valve timing requirements to the irrigation control;2. It has the feature of choosing multi-spray patterns, i.e., users can select a different control mode for different valve;3. It has the feature of unattended irrigation, i.e., based on the growth characteristics of crops, users can flexibly set irrigation procedures;4 It has the feature of lower cost and higher performance.When system works in automatic control mode, the appropriate parameters or sprinkler irrigation program can be selected by the controller automatically, which is the biggest innovation of the proposed controller.In this thesis, according to the function demand of the controller, the design principle and process of that was expatiated in detail based on the hardware electro-circuit and software design. The popular AT89C52 single-chip microcomputer is the core of the hardware. The hardware electro-circuit is composed of the power supply module, keyboard display interface circuit, data acquisition circuit and output driver circuits. The Keil software of the most popular MCS-51 series single-chip microcomputer is used to develop the system software. The functional module of software includes system master monitor, system clock program, key identification and handling procedure, dynamic display program, and A/D switching program.By debugging the controller, the systems not only achieve the expectation performance, but also satisfy the economical, the widely applicable and the high cost performance ration.
