Web Services Management Middleware For Soa Realization

The discussions about Service-Oriented Architecture are the most popular topic in the field of enterprise application development in these years. The benefits for enterprise application based on SOA are significant; the business meanings of SOA become clear after the discussions in the past years. This paper introduces SOA principle and Web Services related specifications and technology, problems of existing solutions in the Enterprise Application Integration field. This paper also introduces the evolution of the term-"SOA" and the reasons for adopting the new SOA architecture.Web services technology is a collection of standards (or emerging standards) that can be used to implement an SOA. Web services technology is vendor- and platform-neutral, interoperable, and supported by many vendors today. Now, Web services technology is about to become the default implementation of SOA.Author designed and developed a sample application based on SOA. The application takes advanced SOA principle,Web services technology and popular service-oriented infrastructure middleware platforms. The application shows some characters and advantage of SOA. The development process is on the guide of the methodology-"Service-Oriented Modeling and Architecture", a new approach to develop applications of SOA.This paper analyses the status of the lack for service-oriented management in the involution of SOA related technology. Traditional Web services management tools are not able to take on the new task. So author designed and implemented a new Web services oriented management middleware for SOA. This middleware takes advantage of the new Enterprise Service Bus pattern and provides service register, service configuration, service virtualization and activity monitoring of all registered services. Author had tested this middleware in the above sample application and the result is well. At the end of the paper, the author thinks what needs to do in the future.
