Opc / Dde Technology-based Monitoring Software Research And Development

With the rapid development of science and technology, control software becomes more and more important in industry production. To meet this requirement, a solution of control software based on OPC/DDE technology is proposed in this thesis.DDE (Dynamic data exchange) is a kind of protocol in common using in communication between applications, which is established by Microsoft.OPC(OLE for Process Control) is an open and mutual operation industry standard, which is based on Microsoft COM/DCOM,ActiveX technology. This standard defines the method of exchanging automation real-time data among the clients with Microsoft operation system. The system adapting the OPC has the special characteristics, such as high-speed data communication, high flexibility, high dependability and high degree reusability.This thesis summarizes the current status and characteristic of control software, and it overall illuminates the fundamental theory of DDE communication between application processes of Windows, provides the DDE example program in control software; the basic concept of OPC and OPC object interface are explained based on the introduction of COM/DCOM and the technology of OPC implementation, the communication mechanism and development methods of the Client and Server of OPC are discussed in this thesis. At last, the software of control system based on OPC/DDE technology is introduced. And now this software is successfully used in several government departments and factories.
